Song Tao Meets with CPP President and Prime Minister of Cambodia

Nanning, September 11th—Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee met here with Hun Sen, President of the Cambodia People’s Party (CPP) and Prime Minister of Cambodia, who was in China for the 14th China-ASEAN Expo.

Song conveyed General Secretary Xi Jinping’s sincere greetings to President Hun Sen, and expressed that China and Cambodia are good neighbors and real friends with all sincerity. China supports Cambodia in choosing a development path suitable to its national conditions, and supports the country’s efforts in safeguarding stability, developing economy and improving people’s livelihood. The CPC is willing to, together with the CPP, jointly implement the consensus of both leaders, intensify high-level exchanges, and deepen exchange of experience in party governance and state administration, so as to push China-Cambodia comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership for constant development.

Hun Sen asked Song to convey his best wishes to General Secretary Xi, and noted that Cambodia-China relations are unbreakable, as it withstood the test of the various periods. Regarding China as a reliable and good friend, Cambodia attaches great importance to Cambodia-China relations, and hopes to learn from the CPC’s good practices and experience in state governance and administration, so as to improve its level of leadership and governance. Hun Sen wished the 19th CPC National Congress a grand success.
