Beijing, January 11th--Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee met here today with the delegation of National League for Democracy (NLD) of Myanmar led by U Aung Moe Nyo, member of the NLD Central Executive Committee and Chief Minister of Magwe Region.
Song spoke positively of the substantial development recently achieved from China-Myanmar relations. Song expressed that both the CPC and the NLD are ruling parties, and the relationship between both parties plays a political leading role in the development of bilateral relations. General Secretary Xi Jinping and Chairman Aung San Suu Kyi have held successful meetings, charting the course for the development of relations between both parties in the new period. The Chinese side is willing to work with the NLD to jointly well implement the important consensus reached by leaders of both parties, enhance experience exchanges on state governance and administration, increase political mutual trust, promote practical cooperation and deepen non-governmental friendship, so as to make contributions to bilateral relations and regional prosperity and development.
Aung Moe Nyo noted that the NLD attaches high importance to developing relations with the CPC, and hopes to learn from the CPC's experience on party governance and state administration as well as comprehensively develop bilateral communication and cooperation in various fields, among all departments and at all local levels, so as to continuously carry forward Myanmar-China paukphaw friendship.
